Happy New Year!

Andy Richardson Group blog

I certainly hope your holiday season was safe and celebratory…and I hope you didn’t overdo it!

The New Year always generates a flurry of resolutions, with people promising to themselves that they will exercise, or lose weight, or read more, or whatever.

Too frequently, those resolutions are broken by February.

But - why not a resolution that commits to bringing you peace of mind - as well as peace of mind for your loved ones?

I am writing, of course, about Estate Planning.

Make 2025 the year you finally get that Will prepared - and all related documents as well. Powers of Attorney, a family trust, documents in support of the trust - all of these Estate Planning documents work together to provide clarity on your wishes when you are no longer able to express those wishes.

A Will ensures that YOU decide what happens to your property - not the government.

Guardianship of minors, disposition of life mementos (big and small), directives on end-of-life care - all of these figure into your Estate Plan.

Even if you have a Will created years ago, a checkup makes sense. Are your life circumstances and disposition goals still in harmony with that old document?

Don’t delay. Resolve that 2025 is the year to craft an Estate Plan.

You’ll be providing yourself - and your loved ones - peace of mind.
